  • But if my book is great, why does my query matter so much? Shouldn't my book speak for itself?

    No agent is going to know how great your book is if they don't get past the query letter. Think of a movie trailer! The movie might be the best thing ever, but if the trailer is slow and boring, no one will ever watch it.

  • I'm just one of thousands trying to get published. Why even try?
